South Korea, 1982
Born in Seoul in 1982, she debuted as an artist in 2008. Her early works were influenced by animation and featured autobiographical characters expressing themes of loss and isolation, often visualized through physical holes in the canvas as symbolic escape routes. She has since explored the deconstruction of pictorial surfaces and, since 2019, has expanded her visual language through digital animation. Since 2023, her Borderline series has explored a new visual language where painterly depth and digital immateriality intersect. Her current practice spans short animations and media art, reflecting a continued interest in cross-genre experimentation.
