Licia Bronzin is a painter of Italian, Croatian descent, born in Adelaide, Australia, currently living and working in London. Working primarily with acrylic and oil on canvas and paper, her work primarily explores the way the female form defines its surroundings in the context of urban architecture and landscape. She studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice where she also developed her interest in film (as part of the course) and photography by working at the Ikona Photo Gallery. Close to her influences of Etruscan and Early Italian art, Bronzin uses a stylised realism to incorporate motifs, shapes and forms from those periods to connect the figures in contemporary settings, to the past, whilst staging the scene as a film still. Her work has been exhibited and held in collections in Australia, Italy and the UK
