Cyprus, 1983
Loukia Soteriou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1983. She graduated from the school of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has participated in various group exhibitions in Cyprus and Greece. In 2025, she participate in Stati d’Arte 2025 in Villa Fidelia in Spello and she took part in The MEAM Hall exhibition at the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern in Barcelona. In 2023, she participated in the London Biennale and the International Painting Biennale of Chisinau. The previous year, her work was included in the Austin Biennale of Drawing Scope. In 2021, she took part in the Larnaca Biennale and the International Painting Biennale of Chisinau, where she was honoured with a Diploma of Excellence by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova. Her first solo exhibition was presented in 2009 at Gallery Gloria in Nicosia. Soteriou’s artistic language is shaped by a deep interest in emotional memory, identity and the fragile nature of human experience.
