In front of Mariea's works you have the feeling of a second of weightlessness, you feel overwhelmed by space and light, by the flow of air, figured in the bright white and joined by the chromatic touch that builds the compositional elements through chromatic overlays, balance between detail and the simplified whole. Fragmenting the visible into cinematic frames, unpredictably overlapping monochromes and color accents, strange shadows and transparencies in unexpected perspective projections, Mariea builds the value dialogue that makes it possible to open up to another world. Mariea Petcu Chioibas is a visual artist, graduate of the National Academy of Arts, Graphics Section, prof. Octav Grigorescu and prof. dr. Mircia Dumitrescu, member of the Union of Fine Artists of Romania, Vice President of the Graphics Branch - Bucharest, teacher at the "Nicolae Tonitza" High School of Fine Arts - Bucharest. The artist has a complex activity, has participated in an impressive number of exhibition events, both at home and abroad, and has received important awards throughout her career.
