Artist Marika Džule - born in Latvia. Her professional journey began at the Art Academy of Latvia, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Fashion Art and Design, followed by a Master’s degree in Audiovisual and Media Art, specializing in Scenography. She further expanded her multidisciplinary creative background by studying for a year at the prestigious Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, gaining international experience in fashion, costume design, and contemporary art. During and after her studies, Marika worked within the costume departments of various local and international cinematic projects. Her portfolio includes work as a costume designer at the Vilnius Old Theater in Lithuania, as well as a scenographer for numerous audiovisual projects. She has actively participated in fashion competitions and painting exhibitions, and in 2018, she was awarded the highly regarded Latvijas Valsts Meži (Latvian State Forests) Scholarship in Painting. In recent years, her professional career has expanded into communications management and media project production, where she creates engaging video content and publications on current affairs. As a painter, Marika works in mixed media, blending diverse materials and techniques inspired by nature, the inner world, and the flow of thought. In her artwork, tangible experience merges with imagination and physical texture, offering a completely unique worldview. Bright, vibrant colors and fluid lines emphasize her desire to give shape to that which inspires, ultimately expanding the viewer's perception. Her pieces demonstrate a masterful balance of technical skill and creative intuition, highlighting the profound importance of imagination and symbolism in her art.
