Miléna Cayet is a contemporary visual artist based in Reims, France. Her practice explores the conditions through which presence may emerge rather than representing presence itself. Working primarily with acrylic and meticulously constructed networks of lines, she develops layered visual structures in which light, rhythm, geometry, and spatial relationships become active elements of perception. Rather than producing symbolic or narrative imagery, Cayet constructs perceptual environments that invite sustained observation. Her work investigates how repetition, transparency, material, and silence shape the viewer's awareness, allowing meaning to emerge through the experience of looking rather than through predetermined interpretation. Her ongoing research project, Presence Studies, examines the relationship between perception, space, and the subtle phenomenon of presence. Each work functions as an experimental field where visual structure becomes a condition for contemplation, encouraging viewers to encounter what cannot be fully named but may nevertheless be profoundly experienced.
