My Name is Natalia Macrii.
I am a self-taught artist, illustrator and graphic designer from Chisinau, Moldova.
I've been working in creative industry for 10 years, but making my debut as a contemporary artist this year.
I explore the psychology of emotion through bold color, symbolism, and autobiographical imagery. I create compositions where flashes of light, flowers, ornamental patterns, and self-portraits become metaphors for inner states of my mind.
My recent collection of works "Flashes", examines sudden emotional intensities: moments of joy, doubt, fear, vulnerability, and acceptance The recurring motif of the “flash” functions both as illumination and disruption: a burst of truth that exposes what is often hidden beneath decorative surfaces. Through my art journey, I explore themes of boundaries, self-perception, social gaze, and the tension between protection and exposure.
