Nikoleta Ivanova-Stoimirova was born in Sofia. In 2008 she graduated from the Secondary School of Applied Arts "St. Luca", specialty "Artistic Processing of Metal", and then continued her artistic education at the National Academy of Arts, specialty "Metal", where in 2018 she obtained a PhD diploma. In 2019, she became part of the team of the "Visual Arts" department, Faculty of Educational Sciences and Arts, Sofia University "Kliment Ohridski", as an Assistant Professor in "Sculpture and artistic constructions". Nikoleta works mainly in the field of sculpture, and since completing her master's degree in 2014, she has participated in more than 90 general and collective exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. She has two solo exhibitions - "In the Beginning" (2025); "Motifs" (2019) and two large solo presentations within forums and exhibitions - "XV International Competition for Drawing and Mixed Media 2024-2025" - Lesedra Gallery (2024); "Poetics of Image" - National Autumn Exhibitions Plovdiv 2019, curator Prof. Dr. Galina Lardeva - Hindliyan House (2019). Even as a student, with the help of her professors, she made pieces for over 30 exhibitions; realizes as part of a team works for a public environment. Since 2012, she has participated in sculpture symposiums, workshops, festivals, competitions, congresses and others in Bulgaria and abroad. Since 2011, she has received awards, honors and nominations in national, international or completely foreign art forums. She has art works in private and museum collections.
