Camelia Pîrvu is a Romanian artist working with stone, oxidized metal, glass, and textiles. Her background in engineering informs a structured yet intuitive approach to mosaic and mixed media, where material is treated as both substance and process. Her practice focuses on construction rather than ornament, exploring tension, fragmentation, and the emergence of organic forms within rigid structures. She works across scales, from intimate pieces to large site-specific works, including a 13-square-meter mosaic installation. Her work has been featured in Cista Art and Viro Mag, and she has participated in exhibitions organized by AAPB and in juried exhibitions with SNAV România. She has also contributed to collaborative projects such as Threads of Remembrance (UK) and SAMA’s 100 Moments, and was selected for the Prix Picassiette Biennale 2026 exhibition.
