Raffaella Usai is an Italian figurative artist whose work focuses on contemporary sacred realism, portraiture and spiritual subjects. Her painting explores the human face as a place of presence, silence and inner transformation, combining realistic technique with emotional and spiritual depth.
Her artistic research is rooted in the tradition of sacred art, while seeking a contemporary language able to avoid decorative or sentimental devotion. Through saints, symbolic figures and contemplative portraits, she investigates the relationship between suffering, light, faith and humanity.
She has previously exhibited at the London Art Biennale and is currently developing a body of work dedicated to sacred and spiritual realism, with particular attention to the expressive power of the face, hands and symbolic detail.
