Ritu Lohia is an artist and interior designer living in India. She uses paper and cotton canvas to paint using color pencils, oil and soft pastels, acrylics and watercolors which gives variety of layers and texture. "What inspires me the most when i visit a space/scene on a street is colors and layers which are naturally build over time by nature and unknowingly formed by humans. People selling vegetables on the side of the road, auto rickshaws standing idle waiting for passengers,old men sitting and reading newspaper, women standing and discussing household and so many scenario happening simultaneously captures my eye. And when all these small individual things come together as one; it gives essence of beauty, time and simplicity of life all at once."
