Sooraj Abraham Artist | Educator | Environmental Advocate Sooraj Abraham is a self-taught contemporary artist whose work explores the intersection of art, marine conservation, and sustainability. Inspired by the expressive style of Vincent van Gogh, his practice uses acrylic painting on reclaimed materials recovered from the ocean. With over 27 years of experience as an educator in colleges across Kerala, Sooraj is also a soft-skills trainer and one of the founding members of the environmental NGO Planatearth. His art serves as a visual voice for ocean life, drawing attention to the dangers of plastic pollution and ghost nets. Through Ocean Art, he seeks to inspire awareness, responsibility, and collective action to protect marine ecosystems.
