Chaos and Birth –
The vertical art installation by Aglaia Perraki synthesizes a deep visual meditation on cosmogony and the interdependence of cosmic forces. Through the physical power of the materials, the artist bridges the formless with the specific, abolishing the linear flow of time in favor of an eternal "now".

On the floor, "Chaos" functions as the living matrix that coexists simultaneously with "Birth" on the wall. At the center of Chaos, the ancient Chinese ideogram 發 (fā) captures the explosive release of energy, the moment a drawn bow releases its arrow. This energy connects organically and simultaneously with the vertical unfolding of Birth, where life acquires structure, time, and form. Perraki's artistic language draws from spiritual geometry, Western astrology, and classical mythology, with forms rendered with a reverent precision shifting between Byzantine iconography and the clarity of the Renaissance.

The two works are structurally connected with hinges, functioning as a single piece that opens like a book. This organic coexistence creates an experiential transition and revelation, as if the viewer is reading a visual book or passing through a cosmic gateway.Placing the viewer at the boundary between earth and sky, the installation is transformed into a space of eternal cosmic recycling, where Chaos and Birth are revealed as two sides of the same coin. Looking at the two works, we realize that past and future merge. Chaos already contains Birth, and Birth continuously feeds the vitality of Chaos. An invitation to experience the universe as a unified, indivisible whole.
