Layered in Silhouette explores memory, transformation, and emotional residue through textured abstraction. Layered acrylic and semi-opaque resin create a dense surface where silhouettes and fragmented forms appear suspended beneath shifting waves of gold, bronze, and earth tones.
Reflective resin elements catch and diffuse light, evoking fleeting images and “golden memories” that emerge and disappear depending on the viewer’s angle. The composition balances controlled structure with fluid movement, while heavily textured sections introduce sculptural depth and tactile presence.
Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, the work focuses on atmosphere, material interaction, and sensory experience. Through the layering of paint, resin, and reflective surfaces, Alcasid creates an immersive composition that suggests memory in a constant state of formation and erosion.
