Rebirth

"Rinascita" is a work born in two stages: first the abstract digital image and then the application of gold leaf on aluminum. The abstract image develops from a center and lines that move up and down and then left and right, along with splashes of gold. This movement of lines and light "explodes" outward. The gold leaf accentuates the light of the lines and the splashes of gold. Movement and light, or light in motion, are the themes of this work. The use of gold leaf on aluminum is evident in my latest works from 2025 and 2026. I enjoy manually working on the aluminum and emphasizing lines or spots of color to enhance the light. Gold leaf adds an ancient technique to modern digital art. The continuity between past and present is provided by the color gold, a symbol of the divine, of light, of energy, of a spiritual aura.
