“Shared Silence” explores emotional intimacy, stillness and human connection through a quiet domestic moment. Created after my migration from India to the UK, the painting reflects themes of loneliness, comfort and emotional support within everyday life. The close composition and relaxed body language of the figures create a sense of warmth and vulnerability, where silence itself becomes a form of communication. Through figurative painting, I aim to capture subtle emotional experiences that often remain unseen, preserving moments of rest, care and psychological closeness within contemporary life.
