Sub_A15 is part of an ongoing body of work exploring fictional realities through a documentary visual language. The series is set within an abandoned underground drainage system transformed into an improvised settlement beneath the city.
The selected image portrays an elderly man walking through a flooded tunnel while leading a small dog on a leash. Wearing a transparent rain cape, he moves through the water while the dog swims beside him. Reduced to darkness, water and concrete, the image focuses on movement, presence and everyday existence within an unfamiliar environment.
My work is interested in traces of life, hidden infrastructures and spaces that appear discovered rather than invented. Through fictional image worlds I explore the fragile boundary between documentary appearance and construction.
