Truth Coming Out of Her Well. Inspired by an 1896 painting by Jean-Leon Jerome. The story goes that Lie and Truth went to a well to bathe, and Lie tricked Truth and stole her clothes while she was in the Well, resulting in Lie roaming the world pretending to be Truth. In the original painting, Truth is holding up a mirror to shame humanity; in this contemporary version, however, Truth is taking a selfie.
