Ana Belošević Veličan (b. 1979, Zagreb, Croatia) is a contemporary artist who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. She has been actively exhibiting since 2004, presenting her work in more than ten solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions in leading Croatian galleries and museums. She participated in the 8th, 9th, and 14th Croatian Sculpture Triennials, receiving special recognition at the 9th Triennial for her work Garden of Eden. Throughout her artistic career, Belošević Veličan has worked across a wide range of media, including animation, painting, installation, and sculpture, reflecting an experimental and interdisciplinary approach to artistic practice. In recent years, her work has focused on galvanized wire mesh, which she transforms into intricate organic structures and floral forms. Through the manipulation of an industrial material, she explores themes of nature, transformation, fragility, and resilience, creating sculptural environments that blur the boundaries between the natural and the artificial.
