Elena Georgieva was born in 1979 in Sofia. In 2000 she graduated painting in “The Julius Pinkas Fine Art College” in Sofia. In 2006 graduated the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia - master degree in Painting in the class of Acad. Svetlin Rusev, Prof. Desislava Mincheva and Prof. Ivaylo Mirchev. She participated in numerous group exhibitions as a student. In 2005 and 2006 she was awarded second prize and encouragement in “The Young Artists Contest” managed by St. Cyril and Methodius Foundation. She was awarded a diploma in a drawing competition, organized by the NAA in Sofia. She received the annual scholarship for young artists, founded by Dr. A. Kunev. She got award in a competition managed by Post Bank. In 2006 Elena became member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. In 2007 she opened her first solo exhibition at "Art 36" gallery, followed by a solo exhibition at the Privatization Agency. Her next exhibition, named “Places”, took place in 2009 at "Sofia Press Gallery”. It included landscapes from Bulgaria, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia. In 2010 she participated in the initiative of Global Foundation for Art PANGAEA, under the motto "Society today and tomorrow" with the painting "To create life”. In 2013 she was awarded a two-month specialization at “Cite des Arts”, Paris. In 2016 she participated in Allianz Bulgaria National Competition for Painting. In 1916 she was nominee of a scholarship in Munchen. In 2019 - solo exhibition "Upper Land" in “Astry Gallery”, Sofia. In 2020, she took part in "The Past. Method of use" competition at Nuance Gallery, Sofia. In 2021 and 2023, she took part in the "London Art Biennale", London. In 2026 she opened her one man show in “Arte Gallery” – Sofia.
