Communication with people around me, with the world, but also with myself. My work is not about solving artistic problems, it is not about searching for current trends in art. I do not strive for unity of style and technique. I try to find an appropriate and expressive form of representation for each topic, for each cycle. That is why I often experiment with different artistic techniques, combine different materials and look for non-traditional approaches and materials to traditional painting and drawing. I work in open cycles, to which I return after some time enriched with techniques and knowledge from new works. In my works, I often depict the human journey – the journey of mystery, self-discovery and lost intimacy – in the cycles Lost Steps, Other Places, Unknown Face, Stories in Us, etc. In the cycle “Anthropocene” I deal with the ability of humanity to transform large landscape units for our own needs using modern technological processes. Often without regard to the possible consequences. I am also working on cycles, that partly reflect the past Covid-19 pandemic situation and the current uncertain situation in the world with a new experience of collective danger, fear and misinformation. These are mainly the “Passing by”, “Lost” and “Covid-19 Syndrome” cycles.
