Denmark, 1986
Im an Italo-brazilian artist leaving in Denmark. I started to paint in 2015. After a period of healing from a deep depression, painting brought me back to myself. I grew up in Sao Paulo Brasil, in a brazilian italian family. My mother also always painted, sacred images, pottery so I grew up surrounded by brushes and paint. Even thou since childhood painting always been a passion, my formal education is in cinema studies and production. After working in this field for many years, I came upon events that brought me to question myself and the life I lived, falling into a deep depression that lasted a few years. On my way out of it, I started studying and practicing spirituality, more specifically, non-duality and hinduism, and through meditations and spiritual practices, one afternoon I picked up painting intuitively and didn´t stop ever since.
Since I´m mainly self taught, I feel my artwork reflects the energy of what is coming forth at the moment of painting. I cannot draw, so the abstract canvas have a life of its own, and after is done, I can feel a name, and sometimes, identify a meaning to it, although many times, it cannot be put into words and of course, like a Rorschach test, each person who sees an artwork, convey its own meaning to it.
