Pirvu Camelia is a Romanian artist working with stone, oxidized metal, glass, and textiles. Her background in engineering informs a structured yet intuitive approach to mosaic and mixed media, where material is treated as both substance and process. Her practice focuses on construction rather than ornament, exploring tension, fragmentation, and the emergence of organic forms within rigid structures. She works across scales, from intimate pieces to large site-specific works, including a 13-square-meter mosaic installation. She is currently expanding her presence within the international art scene, with recent applications to international exhibitions and has contributed to collaborative projects such as Threads of Remembrance (UK) and SAMA’s 100 Moments.
