Ukraine, 1982

Veronika-Anastasia (born 1982, Odessa, Ukraine) Lives and works in Geneva. Veronika-Anastasia is an interdisciplinary artist whose work combines painting and sculpture. Working on a medium scale, she creates hybrid works that emerge from the intersection of her experience in architecture, fashion design, and fine art. Her artistic research focuses on the impact of social media and internet technologies on human relationships and the idea of the unity and responsability of humanity over time. She uses materials such as construction debris, televisions, computers, electronic cables, and plastic fabrics. The electronic cables symbolize the connections between the collective unconscious and the outside world. The plastic fabrics represent the materialization of contemporary reality, while fragments of televisions and computers act as communication tools, drawing attention to social issues. Statement The debris in my works symbolizes the eternal chaos of the unconscious—the primordial state from which all existence emerges. The fragments of television and computers represent everyday life and the technological environment that increasingly shapes human experience. While my works are based on personal experience, their goal is to transform individual emotions and reflections into universal, collective, and meditative experiences for the viewer. Through a combination of artistic techniques and materials, I seek to evoke what Carl Jung described as the collective unconscious—a shared reservoir of symbols, memories, and archetypes that connects humanity across time and culture.
