Bruno Yamil Lecona Esteban is a Mexican visual artist whose work explores how memories and emotions are transformed through the ways we perceive and construct an image. Founder of BLECO Art Studio, he has created around 450 commissioned works for more than 300 clients across different countries. His practice includes watercolor narratives, installations, and chromatic series whose appearance changes depending on the lighting, incorporating transparency and hidden layers. These explorations question what can be seen, remembered, or felt, creating experiences connected to space, light, and the presence of the viewer. He has participated in international exhibitions and competitions in more than ten countries. In 2026, he was selected for International Watercolor Masters (Top 200), received an Honorable Mention in the “Light Without Borders” WASA International Watermedia Competition and in the 17th Mexican Watercolor Society Award, reached the Top 50 of the International Watercolor Academy Award, and was recognized as a New Talented Artist at Fabriano in Acquarello. In 2025, he received First Prize in the Mexican Watercolor Society Award and in the 65th Annual Competition for Amateurs and Emerging Talents organized by the Alfredo Guati Rojo National Watercolor Museum. He also won the Portrait and Animals category at the Bratislava International Watercolor Festival and received the Excellence Award at Le Venezie International Watercolor Festival. Combining his background in Actuarial Science and Data Science with his artistic practice, he seeks to create emotional and conceptual bridges across cultures through works that invite reflection, conversation, and presence.
