Romania, 2003
My name is Petrea Eduard, and I am an emerging visual artist based in Romania, working primarily with the photographic medium. I graduated from the George Enescu National University of Arts Iași, where I specialized in Photography and developed a practice centered on conceptual image-making.
My work explores the relationship between nature, technology, and contemporary society, with a particular focus on artificial ecology, environmental tension, and the transformation of human identity within structured systems. I am interested in constructing images that go beyond representation, functioning as critical reflections on the ways in which natural and artificial environments intersect and influence one another.
I often work through staged interventions and site-specific actions, which I document photographically, using the image as both a final artwork and a conceptual medium. My approach is grounded in strong ideas, where the visual outcome is directly shaped by an underlying conceptual framework.
I have participated in numerous national exhibitions in art galleries across Romania, and I am currently focused on expanding my artistic practice and presence within the international contemporary art scene.
