Ukraine, 1982
My name is Nata Statzner and I'm a Ukrainian–Greek influenced painter who has been living in Germany for over two decades. My distinctive visual language merges cultural references from my heritage with a contemporary formal approach. Cubist fragmentation, minimalist line work, and symbolic elements drawn from Tripolye culture and Cycladic art shape my compositions.
My works engage with mythical motifs and faces that appear both archaic and timeless. They open quiet spaces of self-encounter and reflect on identity, rootedness, and the longing for belonging—conveying a subtle sense of inner connection and the enduring power of universal myths.
