Penpylon (Seung Hwa Pyeon) is a pen-drawing artist based in Busan, South Korea. She creates intricate black-and-white works through the repetitive layering of dots and lines, building dense textures with fine pigment pens. Her practice unfolds as a meditative process, where imagination emerges through quiet, continuous mark-making. Inspired by unseen worlds and inner visions, her drawings depict whimsical beings and organic forms within fluid, dreamlike landscapes. Having held two solo exhibitions in Busan and participated in international art fairs in Japan and Taiwan, she invites viewers into contemplative spaces where simplicity and complexity gently intertwine.
