Mila Akopova is an American artist of Russian origin living and working in New York since 2017. Educated in art history and theory at Lomonosov Moscow State University, she works across drawing, painting, and ceramics. Since 2020, she has focused on developing a distinctive visual language rooted in reduction and minimalism. Akopova is a laureate of the American Art Awards and has exhibited internationally, including at Sotheby’s and Phillips for the New York Academy of Art.
